
The San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District Office of Instructional Services offers support to teachers and staff through workshops, classes, staff development, curriculum materials, teaching guides, resources, information, and our district mentors.

Laurie Marcellin, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, started working for SLVUSD during the 2006-2007 school year. After 23 years as an educator, she is excited to be working as the Director of Instruction and Curriculum. Laurie has been a K – 10 classroom teacher, and found her true joy in middle and high school! She also supported new teachers with the Santa Cruz New Teacher project before moving on to be an administrator at a middle school in San Jose. Laurie currently works with ETS as a English Language Arts Review Panel member. She also is active in ACSA and ASCD. Laurie attended Biola University and Cal State Fullerton. She received her BA and credential in Fullerton. Before getting her MA at Santa Clara University, she went through the incredible experience of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher.
