Strategic Plan
Development of the Strategic Plan
A few years ago, Trustees determined the need to set long-range goals and objectives for the District. The Board used a strategic planning process to create a course of action in three different goal areas. They also discussed the District’s beliefs about students and learning and, from these discussions, developed the vision and mission statement for the District.
The establishment of long-range objectives allows all District staff members to focus on the same goals for improving student achievement. In 2005-2006, the Board revised the District’s Vision Statement and Mission Statement as well as redefined the District’s Core Values. Parent surveys are used to give input to annual areas of focus.
