Transportation

The Transportation Department provides solutions for Home to School and School to Home student transportation throughout the school year. Preparations begin early in the summer for our Bus Pass and Ticket Purchase program and typically bus passes are in the hands of students by the fourth week of school. Transportation is also provided during the summer and other non-school times for field trips and other excursions sponsored by various groups and schools. For bus pass purchase you can also visit us in person at 315 Marion Avenue in Ben Lomond. We are just down the road from White Oak High School before you get to the district office at Quail Hollow.

Steve Burley, Director of Maintenance, Operations and Transportation, Steve has lived in the San Lorenzo Valley for the last fourteen years and has been active, along with his wife Anne, inthe SLVUSD schools. His three daughters attended SLVUSD schools and graduated from SLVHS.

Steve has over 20 years of experience in school bus transportation and facility maintenance having served as a driver, trainer, facility/branch manager and area driver development and safety manager for the largest private school bus contractor in the nation.
Julie Brazil, Transportation Specialist, has over 32 years of experience in school bus transportation and has provided safe transportation to the students and parents of the San Lorenzo Valley for all of those years. Julie serves as the Transportation Specialist in the Transportation Department and is responsible for the Bus Pass/Ticket system for the school district. Julie is also President of the SLV Alumni Association and actively promotes the Annual Golf Tournament as one of her many extra duties.

Boulder Creek Elementary

For parents' convenience, the District will provide a free shuttle up the hill to Boulder Creek Elementary School. The shuttle stop will be located next to the transit stop across the street from Scarborough Lumber. Pick up time will be 8:15 a.m.
